Honey Wheat with Cherries and Walnut Bread for Bread Machine

Ingredients
- ½ C water
- ½ C half and half
- ÂĽ C honey
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 ½ C whole wheat flour
- 1 ½ C bread flour
- 1 ½ tsp. bread machine yeast
- 1 ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 1 C dried sweet cherries
- 2/3 C walnuts
Instructions
- This recipe is so simple but delicious! I always have these ingredients on hand.
- Put the water and half and half together in one measuring cup and microwave for one minute. This will heat the mixture to lukewarm.
- Next, add the water and half and half mixture to your bread machine bowl.
- Next, add the honey, olive oil, whole wheat four, bread flour, bread machine yeast, kosher salt, dried cherries and walnuts.
- Put your bowl into your bread machine, set for 1.5 lb. loaf and light or medium crust. Press start and wait for the smells to fill up your kitchen.
- Note: Follow your bread machine manufacturer’s recommendations for proper ingredient order. I also add my dried fruit and nuts at the beginning. I don’t mind they break up a bit. If you want chunkier pieces, your machine will recommend the proper time for the fruit and nuts to be added.
