Ingredients
- 3 C bread flour
- ½ C cane sugar
- ¼ C cocoa powder
- 1 C whole milk warm (approx. 95 degrees)
- 1 large egg at room temperature (lightly beaten)
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla
- 2 ¼ tsp. bread machine yeast
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
Instructions
- Note: follow your bread machine’s recommendations for placing ingredients in the baking bowl.
- For my machine, the liquids go in first.
- To the baking bowl, add the warm milk, beaten egg, vanilla.
- Top with flour, cocoa, sugar, salt. Make a small well in the dry ingredients and add the yeast.
- Place the baking bowl in the machine. Set your machine for a 1 ½ pound loaf, white bread (soft bread) with light crust setting.
